This year’s common theme of Arezzo Città del Natale will be light revealing the beauty of the town. Light installations will, in fact, be spread all around town, casting a magical spell on squares and main streets and highlighting monuments and buildings. On from November 25th to January 7th, this year’s calendar discloses many events and endless emotions.
Together with the traditional Christmas tree and lights, there will obviously be Father Christmas’ house in Piazza Grande as well as a Christmas market, while the Fortress will be exclusively for the children and their personal fun.
Around town there will also be a Neapolitan school of pavement artists, the renowned madonnari, decorating Arezzo’s pathways with 3D images and offering lessons to the children up in the fortress. Not to be missed is the traditional Antiques Market held in Piazza Grande and surrounding streets on December 2nd and 3rd.
Furthermore, there will be artists creating ice sculptures, gospel concerts, Alpine refuge dinners and much more. On December 17th all together in the main square to send thousands of balloons with Christmas letters flying, so don’t forget to write your own.
